Programme Overview
Malnutrition is a direct or underlying cause of 45 percent of all deaths of under-five children. Nigeria has the second highest burden of stunted children in the world, with a national prevalence rate of 32 percent of children under five. An estimated 2 million children in Nigeria suffer from severe acute malnutrition (SAM), but only two out of every 10 children affected is currently reached with treatment.
The Feed a Child Programme (Food Drive and Nutrition)

An estimated 2 million children in Nigeria suffer from severe acute malnutrition (SAM), but only two out of every 10 children affected is currently reached with treatment. Seven percent of women of childbearing age also suffer from acute malnutrition.
The underlying causes of malnutrition in Nigeria are poverty, inadequate food production, inadequate food intake, ignorance and uneven distribution of food, poor food preservation techniques, improper preparation of foods, food restrictions and taboos, and poor sanitation.
Everight Healthcare foundation will embarks on food drives annually through partnerships with food and agro industries.
We aim at :
- Distributing Vitamin A and iron supplements in Rural communities
- Providing nutritional palliatives and food parcels to families, children, seniors and vulnerable communities.
- Educating on proper preparation of foods, adequate food intake, food preservation methods and sanitation
- Production of low cost weaning diets and integrating nutrition in primary healthcare programs and educational curricula.
