We provided free Prostate-Specific Antigen (PSA) tests to over 50 men as part of our commitment to early detection of prostate cancer.

Men are often less likely to seek preventive screening, contributing to later-stage prostate cancer diagnoses. We provided free PSA testing to over 50 men as part of a broader men's health awareness campaign.

Alongside testing, participants received education on risk factors, symptoms, and the importance of regular screening from age 40 onward โ€” particularly for men with a family history of the disease.

This programme forms part of our wider strategy to close the gender gap in preventive healthcare uptake across Nigeria.

Beyond providing free PSA testing, the outreach created an opportunity for men to engage directly with healthcare professionals in a supportive environment where they could ask questions, discuss personal health concerns, and receive evidence-based guidance on prostate health. Individual counselling sessions helped participants understand their screening results, identify personal risk factors, and adopt healthier lifestyles that support long-term well-being.

The programme also strengthened awareness of the importance of early detection in reducing the burden of prostate cancer. Men whose screening results required further investigation were referred to appropriate healthcare facilities for additional diagnostic evaluation and specialist care, while those with normal results were encouraged to maintain regular screening as recommended. By combining screening, education, counselling, and timely referrals, Everight Healthcare Foundation is helping to promote a culture of preventive healthcare among men and improve health outcomes through early diagnosis and intervention.
